Arctic Fractures #2

This painting along with its sister painting were crafted with the concept of glacial fractures. As the planet and its oceans are in a constant state of warming, we're seeing what was once astoundingly thick ice sheets are melting and the ice is fragmenting across the Arctic. Leaving these patterns covering the top of the glaciers. I wanted to explore and attempt to capture what this imagery would materialize as if it was put to a canvas.
